Struggling towards Spring

On a walk the other day, surrounded by sodden fields, damp roads and with the hint of a sprinkling of snow on the hills in the distance,  it was difficult to believe that Spring officially starts this week with more daylight than darkness. Still, there have been some sunny periods as well haven't there, to entice us gardeners outside!
